Apollo Challenger Columbia Lessons Learned Landing Page

Summary

This project included a landing page design for the Apollo Challenger Columbia Lessons Learned program’s Columbia page and a custom style guide and reusable UX/UI for future projects. The main mountain to climb was the shear amount of content that had built up over the years that stakeholders needed to populate the page.

Graphic Style

The main idea was to keep the design aligned with NASA, but provide a style that was unique and reflected the Apollo Challenger Columbia Lessons Learned programs mission. There are many public pages with CAIB documents, but how can these landing pages display them differently so that people may be more enthralled to click through and read. The UI is meant to be as simple as and match the heads-up-display-type UI show during launches. Again making sure that the design doesn’t override the content.

Wireframes

To prepare for this project. I put together some fleshed out wireframes to concept the types of sections that we could use. Although not all of the functionality outlined made it into the final, I used these as a foundation for what-goes-where.
