Planetary Protection Branding
Summary
The branding and iconography for NASA’s planetary protection group. I focused on creating an insignia-type logo (NASA loves those) with many specific and unique graphic elements as per customer request. Planetary Protection focuses on effectively managing any biological risks created during space exploration, so the iconography focuses on microbiology, manned and unmanned space travel, planetary bodies and science.
Alternate Versions
Another version of the logo was created showing the graphic elements surrounding Earth for potential usage in agency marketing and other print and digital usage, etc. Other alternate versions of the logo were created but not used. All of the alternate options were meant to visually merge science and space inside an insignia-type logo.
